The genealogy website ancestry.com has announced that President Obama is in fact related to his primary political opponent, Sarah Palin – the 2 apparently share a single ancestor, John Smith of 17^th century Massachusetts.

Obama is also related to Rush Limbaugh as tenth cousins, once removed.
