Bill Clinton Lost Nuclear Launch Codes While President…for Months!

General Hugh Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President Clinton has just released his memoirs, and in them he claims that in 2000, Clinton lost the nuclear launch codes.

Lt. Colonel Robert Patterson made a similar accusation in his book, but he says that it happened in 1998, on the day the Lewinsky scandal made headlines. Patterson was the man responsible for the nuclear football – the launch computer. He says that Clinton told him in 1998 that he had misplaced the codes, and that he couldn’t remember where he had last seen them.
