$300 Million Michelangelo Wrapped Behind a Couch

Michelangelo PaintingThe Kober family displayed the picture until it was knocked off the wall by a tennis ball in the 70’s, prompting the family to have it wrapped up and put into semi storage, behind the living room couch.

That’s where the painting stayed until retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Martin Kober decided to investigate the family story that the painting was in fact an original Michelangelo.

After doing extensive research and having an Italian art historian and restoration expert come to do some testing – the Kober family has learned that their painting is likely a genuine Michelangelo,  and that it’s valued at a third of a billion dollars.
